The Ajvar Tour limited edition will take place only one month a year, from mid-September to mid-October. During this tour you will have a unique culinary experience and you will be directly involved in the preparation of one of the most famous Balkan specialties – AJVAR.
Ajvar or also known as the Macedonian “caviar”, is a traditional dish that is made from red peppers, salt, oil and eggplant. It is considered a winter dish but people in here eat this sause during the whole year. This speciality can be combined with any dish, but the most delicious combination remains ajvar, bread and cheese.
This dish is vegan and vegetarian friendly and it is also gluten-free
The preparation will take place in a local family where you can participate in the whole process of preparation, talking with the family and tasting some traditional Macedonian food while making the peppers.
